Safety Policy
Mindful of the fact that our operations are conducted in a difficult and potentially hazardous marine environment, Seatrax Singapore Pte.Ltd. (STS) puts the greatest emphasis on Safety and Quality Management in its operations. Ppersonnel safety and accident prevention, and equipment and property damage prevention are of paramount importance to STS. STS Safety Management System, in conjunction with its Quality Management System based on the ISO 9000 standard, has been a core feature of its business since STS formation. Furthermore, STS is in the process of obtaining DNV approval as it strictly operates by DNV Sub sea and Offshore Standards.
Corporate Culture: STS aims to ensure all employees commit to safety first and make safety first a priority in practice. Through team building and the development of a safety conscious attitude, the STS team shall strive to eliminate any risk to personnel and equipment, and shall endeavor to provide the safest possible environment for all its personnel.
Corporate Systems: STS management shall to enforce regular Safety Meetings at all levels of its organization, not only during offshore operations, but during onshore activities as well. The Safety Meetings shall encourage all employees to foster the correct attitude towards safety, and to take an active role in Safety Improvement Programs. These meetings and programs will facilitate information sharing and exchange, and foster better understanding towards safety issues, across all levels, from operations to management.
Training: All STS's offshore employees as well as subcontractor operations personnel are required to have undergone training in Basic Survival, First Aid and Fire Fighting in an offshore environment.
Preventive Actions: Every incident and near-miss situation, regardless of degree of seriousness, are required to be reported to STS management as early as possible, in order to eliminate the potential cause(s) of incident or near-miss situation. Equipment breakdown is also monitored in order that preventative measures may be introduced, to reduce the threat of equipment failure and to minimize downtime.
All STS employees are encouraged to report any condition they deem unsafe or pose an unacceptable risk to themselves or others. Senior personnel's have been instructed to cease operation in the event of an unsafe condition that pose unacceptable risk to personnel and/or equipment.
As part of STS's Quality Management System, periodic audits are required to be carried out to ensure that STS's Quality and Safety Systems are continually monitored and assessed. It is STS's responsibility to their employees to ensure that every employee possesses a complete and approved set of Personal Protective Equipment, together with any additional protective equipment required for a specific project and/or scope of work.
